Enjoy Tokoname Pottery Primonade (Approximately 60 minutes)
Tokoname is a ceramic city with about 1,000-year history, and one of the six ancient kiln sites in Japan. During the feudal days, tea ceremony utensils were mainly made here followed by reddish brown earthenware teapots, and earthen pipes in accordance with the needs of the time. At the pottery promenade, you will see the landscape of brick stacks used in around 1940’s to 1960’s when the earthen pipe making was in its heyday, and along the maze-like allies many pottery shops and galleries stand in a row. In this area, such highlights as Takita family’s house, once flourished as a successful shipping agent, multi-chambered climbing kilns built in around 1887, now designated as an important cultural asset and INAX Live Museum are all located.
[Except Thursday]
Visit Nakano Sake Brewery (Approximately 40 minutes)
Nakano Sake Brewery is a long-established sake brewery founded in 1844. The black building, which was used for sake brewing for 200 years, really lets you feel the history. The museum has displays of sake brewing tools, has a corner where sake brewing is introduced through Japanese paper dolls, corners where you can try sake and plum wine, and more.

*Nakano Sake Brewery is regularly closed on Thursday and Arigato no Sato will be visited instead. (Approximately 40 minutes)
[Thursday]
Arigato no Sato (Approximately 40 minutes)
13:00
Lunch(Hitsumabushi grilled eel on rice / Approximately 75 minutes)
Hitsumabushi is different from the standard unagi grilled eel dish. It is served in a wooden ohitsu (a container made from cedar and cypress used for storing rice) and the kabayaki (grilled and dipped in sauce) eel fillets are cut in 1 cm strips which are then placed over sauce-coated rice for a luxurious finish. Even the methods for consuming the dish are unique, with the standard being to take the first third as is, cover the second third in a wasabi and onion glaze, and then soak the last third in tea. This three-in-one pleasure factor has made it one of Nagoya's most famous gourmet dishes!
14:45
Matcha Green Tea Museum Waku Waku (Approximately 60 minutes)
Located on the top floor of the headquarter factory of Aiya Co., Ltd. - the company boasting the largest market share of powder green tea in Japan - this museum offers an exciting and entertaining way of learning all that is to know about matcha, the infusion beverage that is taking the world by storm.
